From advocating usage of services and resources to garnering support for new library initiatives, relationships with faculty are invaluable. In this panel discussion, four library staff from institutions of varying sizes will share their challenges and successes in fostering strong networks on their campuses.

Resources and support are essential to accomplishing not only overall library goals but also the goals of individual departments, librarians, and staff. In this webinar, Taira Meadowcroft and Megan Ballengee will share strategies for successfully advocating for your position and/or unit. Learn how to communicate your needs to administrators and to undertake an internal marketing campaign to promote your value and build networks within the library. Whether a manager or not, everyone in a library can be an advocate for their own work and for the mission of the library.
